Is Odoo Online supported?
No. Odoo Online does not permit installation of this custom Python module.
Does it require additional middleware?
No additional middleware is required by this connector; Odoo communicates with the configured Crayon API directly.
Does the app include a Crayon account or Microsoft licenses?
No. Provider accounts, commercial agreements, subscriptions and licenses are separate from the application purchase.
Can I validate configuration before production?
Yes. Mock / Safe Test mode is intended for controlled validation before production operations are enabled.
Can historical vendor invoices be imported?
Yes. Select the required date range. Existing Crayon invoice identifiers are protected against duplicate bill creation.
How are Invoice Profiles resolved?
The connector uses the invoice Order ID with Billing Statement data to resolve Invoice Profile information when available.
What if one Invoice Profile is shared?
The profile is retained on the bill, but the Customer Tenant link remains empty rather than guessing an ambiguous tenant.
What should I provide to support?
Odoo version, module version, environment, reproduction steps, screenshots and any relevant correlation ID. Never send API secrets or passwords.

Crayon Cloud-iQ Connector for Odoo 18
Overview
Crayon Cloud-iQ Connector is an independent Odoo 18 integration developed by Arselor for organizations that use Crayon Cloud-iQ to manage Microsoft cloud subscriptions and provider billing.
The connector brings customer tenant mapping, provisioning controls, subscription lifecycle operations, vendor billing, financial reconciliation, and safe API diagnostics into Odoo.
Target users
The application is designed for:
- Microsoft CSP resellers and indirect providers using Crayon Cloud-iQ.
- Managed service providers (MSPs) using Odoo for sales, operations, or accounting.
- Organizations that require explicit customer-tenant mapping and approval before provider writes.
- Finance teams that need Crayon vendor billing imported and checked before posting.
- Multi-company Odoo environments that require company-scoped connector data and permissions.

External requirements

Installation
- Copy arselor_crayon_connector to an Odoo addons path.
- Restart the Odoo service or container.
- Update the Apps List.
- Search for Crayon Cloud-iQ Connector and install it.
- Assign the required connector roles.
- Start configuration in Mock / Safe Test mode.
Configuration
Recommended setup order:
- Configure the Crayon API connection and validate authentication.
- Select or synchronize the correct Crayon organization.
- Configure approval and provider-write safeguards.
- Configure vendor accounting mappings and reconciliation tolerance.
- Synchronize organizations, customer tenants, and catalog data.
- Map customer tenants and Crayon catalog items to the correct Odoo records.
- Test the workflow in Mock / Safe Test mode.
- Enable production operations only after validation.
Provisioning workflow
Before sending a provider write, the connector can validate and preview:
- Customer and Crayon tenant.
- Odoo company and connector configuration.
- Crayon SKU and mapped Odoo product.
- Whole-number license quantity.
- Billing cycle and commitment term.
- Provider cost, Odoo sale value, and margin.
- Approval state and configured safeguards.
Unknown-result protection
If Odoo sends a provider request but cannot confirm whether the provider completed it, the connector does not blindly repeat the request. The operation moves to Reconciliation Required so a technical administrator can verify provider history before any controlled retry.
Subscription lifecycle
The subscription workflow supports governed lifecycle operations where allowed by the provider, including synchronization, quantity changes, auto-renew handling, suspend/reactivate, cancellation, and next-term instructions.
Billing and reconciliation
The connector can import Crayon vendor invoices and credit notes into Odoo with duplicate protection, source-total comparison, configurable variance tolerance, and review controls before posting.
For each imported invoice, the connector uses the Crayon Order ID to resolve the related Billing Statement and Invoice Profile. The vendor bill stores the Invoice Profile ID and name, the Billing Statement ID, and a direct Crayon Customer Tenant link when the profile maps to exactly one imported tenant. Re-running a historical invoice period can backfill this metadata onto existing vendor bills without recreating them.
Security and diagnostics
The connector includes company-scoped record rules, role-based access, server-side authorization checks, redacted API diagnostics, correlation IDs, retention controls, and controlled retry safeguards.
